Current News
The launch of the Tour of Alberta, which will debut in September 2013 in Edmonton and Calgary as the largest pro cycling event in Canada, was made official Monday. Plans for the long-rumoured stage race, sanctioned by the Union de Cyclisme International (UCI), were unveiled at joint news conferences held in the two Alberta cities, which will stage key races in the six-day event.

This Day in History
Famed fugitives Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker are killed in a police ambush near Sailes, Louisiana. A contingent of officers from Texas and Louisiana set up along the highway, waiting for Bonnie and Clyde to appear, and then unloaded a two-minute fusillade of 167 bullets at their car, killing the criminal couple.
